    The headline says:

Ramirez says he's staying in Boston
But Manny denies reported statements, according to agent

Now that's just hilarious. So I guess we're dealing with TWO people here.

Apparently, this "Ramirez" guy wants to stay in Boston.

But there's also a guy named "Manny". And he wants to leave.

    Glad that's cleared up!

Re: Manny Stays a Red Sox

This has stopped being news since the first time he asked to be traded in 2002. My prediction is he is in a Sox uniform this year and for the foreseeable future. He goes out and plays and wins, obviously Boston doesn't bother him that much. And isn't it time that people like Tejada and Ramirez (and not to mention the poster boy Terrell Owens) learn what the word "contract" means? The Sox should stick by their plan, trade him if it makes sense for the team, not to make him happy. He makes more money than the entire populations of some third world countries. They say money isn't happiness, but surely with $20+ million you can exchange the money for something that is happiness, right? Get over it Manny!

Would it be as entertaining if he were a Mariner? If it were my money we were spending, I'd write up an iron clad contract with Kansas City. I'd offer to pay 18 million of his salary every season for as long as he remains a Royal. If he refused the trade I'd bench his stupid @ss or dump him off in Pawtucket as often as possible. Think Manny would like playing in K.C. or Providence everyday? Me thinks not!

No thanks I think the Mariners have enough problems with Carl Everett.
