    Lightbulb Mogul 2k7

In all honesty, I would really like to see BBM 2k7 be a finished version of Mogul 2k6, but with updated stats, rosters, minors, etc.

Instead of 'completely overhauling' Baseball Mogul, simply get it working correctly the first time out with a nice, polished version.

Also, I would like for subsequent BBM's be released after the end of the previous season. What I mean is this: release BBM2k7 as close to the end of the 2005 season as possible, maybe early December (Christmas gift!). Along with this idea, have the starting date on the file be before the beginning of Free Agency. This would enable FA and a draft before the beginning of the season, which I think would make starting a new game a lot more exciting.

    Any thoughts on these ideas?

From a business standpoint, it would be better to overhaul the game and get that right. The fact that it's been virtually the same thing since '98 hurts Sports Mogul when it comes to getting good reviews or attracting those who play other games (e.g.: OOTP & Pure Sim).
New to Baseball Mogul? Need player pics for your historic league? Don't like the default generics? Check out my picture libraries at Baseball SimCentral.

agree too, I am playing 2k7 beta, and that game is similar to 2k6, it has some nice new features, but agree, to attract some new clients (customers) an interface overhaul would help out alot!

What interface changes do you want to see? Visual differences? Or a real shake up in how you move around the game?

Timing wise, Feb or March is about the best we can do even at the theoretical limit assuming no new features. We still don't have updated stats from Sean, and those take time to integrate and test.

Well the interface is excellent, if outdated. I had a suggestion awhile back of color coding the free agents, to see how close they were to signing... rather than click through everyone to see the rumor mill. Little outlandish things like that go a long way, in my opinion.

Maybe someday I'll play through the game and write down everything in the interface I think can be faster.
That's interesting. But not interesting enough.

Change is a good thing. I would like to see a major shake up. Drag and drop would be something good to see.
No I'm not joking. If I was joking I would have said "So a guy walks into a bar..."

We already have drag and drop.

Open up 2K6 and you can drag players around in the Lineup, Pitching and Defense screens.

You can even open TWO dialogs and drag players from one dialog to another (such as to offer a trade).

I guess if no one noticed, we can call it a NEW feature in BB2K7.

Great idea, but we can't do it with color coding this year. We will add an "Interest Level" column so you can sort by how close a player appears to be to signing with a team.

    That would be cool.

A few ideas...two of them things that I've mentioned before.

    1) an Auto Sort Minors button....so that you can sort your minors during the season easily without the game changing your MLB team roster....would be a GREAT addition.

    2) some indication either in the scouting or info/awards screen for the player of where a prospect would like to be drafted...but be able to see this in the draft screen so you can sort by players interested in being drafted by NY, or BOS or TOR etc......so you can quickly see who might flourish better for your team.

    Also,

It would be cool to have a hire/fire managers option for the teams....and each manager carries different strategies with him....so that you can choose one that suits your power lineup or speed/On-Base lineup....and when you start to transform your team you can find the right guy to steer the ship. Might be a great aspect for attracting certain FA or draft prospects to your team as well and could also spark your team by making a midseason replacement.

actually, i think an auto-sort lock would be better, because i hate having to change both my minors and majors just because of an injury.....Sometimes a 65++ player playing well in AA should be in AAA not A ball.

Injury happens, all my work with the minors, gets shafted...A simple check box to any of the players names any player checked, it would not move, the lineup...pitching, AAA player whoever you have checked...anybody unchecked would be auto-sorted.

    Something else outside the box...

Is it possible to have smily faces visible on the lineup, pitching, roster screen, along with the other statistics. For instance:

Starting Lineup P Avg HR OBA SB
    Maurer, Alex LF .264 17 .343 3
    Seabird, Sean 2B .335 13 .401 1

We will add an "Interest Level" column so you can sort
    Awesome thanks.

I see. My computer was restored recently so I lost everything including my precious BBM2k6.
