    Halo3 launch: 'problems' for Sony?

Last May, Bill Gates said in an interview with Time magazine that the second wave of 360 titles would arrive in time to cause Sony problems. "It's perfect," he said. "The day Sony launches, and they walk right into Halo 3."
How does this work then? Thing I don't understand is the second wave games are only bought by people who've already paid out $'s for their 360's. People who are very unlikely to want to buy a brand new PS3. How does this 'cause Sony problems'?

What it does is make people say "Well, I could buy this flashy new system, but now I have a bunch of new games for this system I already have." Thus saving them hundreds of dollars.

Also causes problems if good games are exclusive to, or not yet available on another system.

Another good point. I remember when every game was released for every system (except sega which kinda helped kill the system). There's so much more factioning now.
