When was the last good unofficial patch?

good news. i emailed clay:

Still working on it, and I thought it would be done in August.

The good news is I fixed a very similar issue in Football, so I'm pretty
confident it will be done in the next 2 weeks.

sorry that didnt make any sense...it is baffling....why the patch isnt out yet...it is even more baffling that why he has angered so many people....BM2k6 is a beta project ....I hope he waits a year before he releases 2k7, make it 2k8. and have a full year of Beta, than charge $39.99 as a double version...

He is what i perpose...(having 3 sets of beta, (beta1, Beta2, and Beta3)

Charge people $5bucks to be part of beta (since it does take time and money)

Beta1(fix any known bugs)(now till January 2006)

(beta 2, add all the features you want in time for 2k8) February - July)(add a patch to get 2005 stats(for 2k6) (Charge $5.00) no features added.

Beta 3- fix any known bugs (july thru March) (add in laymanand 2006 stats)

Release 2k8(7) in April of 2007, Charging between $29-$39 for this awesome product....


I just hope something like this would happen...I also think that Customer Satisfaction should be the #1 goal of this company. Clay could make this game bigger than anything EA ever made....For every customer that is not satisfied, (they tell 15 people not to buy there product) If you are satisfied, you might tell 5-10 people about how awesome this game is (basically negitive feedback spreads more than positive feedback does)

Clay also needs to hire somebody who thinks big...no reason why this company has as many people working for it as it did in 2003. It needs to grow.

Well, can someone tlel me what patch is the last unoffficial oen WITHOUT the sign/release bug? IS it 8.24?

EDIT: I got 8.34, and it doesnt seem to be releasing many big players, some injured players, but all the injured players it releasing (while some big names) arent rated highly, like i havent seen a rating of above 80 released. The sim is somewhat slow, but I can deal with that, and I know theres probably errors in the Minor league AI, but I can also deal with that I guess.

8.24 is the patch that is the best...it is 10X better than 8.34

basically, there is no injury bug, the only thing that doesnt work right is the minor leagues...if you auto sort them.....it lacks a couple of features added between patch 8.24-8.38.

The simulation speed is GREAT, and the game is playable.
