I want to say I read about it in Computer Gaming and then downloaded the demo - I would think that's probably 99 % accurate, but that was four years ago.

I found it on a p2p program..downloaded it...loved it...and have happily purchased the game ever since. I always count down the days till the next release or patch.

someone on aol told me about it then i bought the 2000 version and have bought nearly every year since except maybe 2004
Found it back in 2001. I think I was trying to find an old board game version of Pursue the Pennant or something like that. Been a faithful purchaser and player ever since.
Your poll doesn't include my scenario. I was just looking through the games at London Drugs (specificly, non-action games) and thought I might enjoy this. Tried it, liked it, bought Football Mogul.
Underdogs.com, an abandonware site, has BM1997 (apparently with permission.) I really enjoyed it, so I did a web search to see if the company was still alive.![]()

I had actually seen Mogul 200x at Wal-mart and wondered if I should have purchased it. After getting tired of running baseball sims in Front Page Sports: Baseball '97, someone had mentioned OOTP. When researching it and talking with online peeps, had heard about Mogul again.
Saw '07 for sale in Circuit City and thought i'd look it up when I got home... exactly the game I had been looking for.
I just walked by it (football mogul) one day and asked my dad for it. I was 9 and even at that age I liked it.
I first found it at a store in Gurnee Mills in IL a huge mall game was being sold on clearance for $5 I believe it was BB Mogul 1997 if it even was around back then if not it was like 98 or something
Was reading a few posts on the ootp forums and was really annoyed at the time as the game looked and played the same as Football Manager (soccer) game which I also owned - and hated.
Read a post on the ootp forums about BMogul and looked into it little.
Told my girlfriend to get me it when she was in the USA - little tyke didnt bring it back with her!!!! THE B?I£H!!!!!
Shortly after we split up.
A few weeks ago it was fathers day, and just a few days before this as a present off my son I got a fully boxed version of Baseball Mogul 07.
All is now forgiven.
Oh were not back together though - Im too busy trying to win he world series.

I first found out about Baseball mogul from Best Buy actually, got the 2003 or 04 version when it was called baseball manager i think
I found the game here in a huge mall called Gurnee Mills in Illinois.... It was on the discount rack for only $5!! back I guess in the very first version or so... it was 1997 I believe.... been buying the game since then. Funny how much things have progressed since back then... game was $5 and now look how many people but it and how much its worth
