    All-Star Homefield Advantage

I was watching Sportscenter and reminded of the rule recently put in place that World Series homefield advantage is determined by the All-Star game. What does every one think about that?

Ill start it off...I think this is a horrible rule. The All-Star game is just the 25 best players in the league and has nothing to do with who gets homefield advantage. Teams in playoff contention probably would want to win more than a team not in contention, and its not like the players try anyway. I dont like it. I think Bud needs to come up with a new system.
Even in the tough NL East, the Braves will win their 15th straight division title...and everybody knows it!!!

I am partial to the best regular season record determining home field. Or last years WS winner gets it.

why not just alternate it ever year? Or yeah, whichever of the teams that had the best record in the regular season gets home field... The Allstar game determining it is stupid.

I think the team who played the harder teams should get the home field advantage.

This is a stat often calculated in football where you add up the averages of all the teams you played and see who had the harder scedule. Maybe a win/loss put against their actual record such that a 90-72 team would get the advantage over a 110-52 if the 90-72 team played .56 teams and the 110-52 played .45 teams but if they played .51 and .49 teams the 2nd team would get the advantage.

Or maybe I just like things complicated so I have something to talk about.

I didn't feel like doing the actual math but it will work out.

The A.L. east would really screw that up though. There are usually 3 and often four pretty good teams in it. Also the A.L. east does this constantly it just keeps on going and going and..................
