I would have to say the orioles... They have showed they can hit, pitch, and play defense. Their young pitchers are finally coming around, but i don't feel they have the playoff experience to do anything in the playoffs, and i expect them to loose in the first round. The Red Sox will come in a close second, and will compete for another world series as the wild card.

I think that Schilling coming back (I heard on WEEI today that it may be before the All Star break) could really make the difference. I also think that Boston will make a deal before the deadline for a fielder. I think they put Mirabelli on the DL so that they could showcase Kelly Shoppach. He was the catcher of the future but had on off year, prompting the Sox to sign (in my opinion it was the clincher) Varitek. This is an honest opinion, not just a homer opinion.

I think Boston will win. I've been qualifying that by adding that a lot depends on how much Steinbrenner is willing to spend at the trade deadline, and how intelligently that money is spent, but it's almost getting to the point that the Yankees will be too far back to just spend their way to a title.

As for the Orioles, I still think that they have too many guys playing too far over their heads to sustain what they're doing for a full season.

I have to say Boston. They seem to find the answer just when they need it.

I have to say Boston as well. They always pull through in the clutch when no one expects them. The Orioles will put up a fight but in the end the Sox will prevail.
Even in the tough NL East, the Braves will win their 15th straight division title...and everybody knows it!!!

I think that George needs to go back to being a more hands off owner. When he gets involved in calling the shots it always turns into a big mess. Last time he was barred from the day to day, Cashman and co. put together a dynasty. George comes back into it and right away starts demanding stars, stars, stars. You'd think the guy would learn.

Toronto will win it!!.....Baltimore will fade, and Boston and New York will suffer huge injury problems in the second half.....It's possible...the Jays are only a half game behind NY right now....only 7 back of Boston.

But remember, if all of that happens then they'd STILL have to fight off Tampa Bay.

Well, it looks like Boston and NY aren't the only ones who are going to have injury problems. Shame about Halladay's leg.

It sounds like no one thinks the Yankees have a shot. The Sox have just as many injury problems as the Yanks, and right now, they look relatively even. I don't think Baltimore will make the playoffs, but I do think both the Yanks and the Sox will. (The Yankees as the Wild Card).

They will win their division no problem. I think that they will make a serious run at Billy Wagner, but knowing Ed Wade, he'll say no and the Phillies will lose out in the off season when Wagner walks.

The Red Sox by far have the best starting rotation in baseball. Their first starter can start #1 for most other teams. You have to give them credit where credit is due, they are good.
