    Thumbs up Vbulletin upgrade

Nice! Now how about activating the WYSIWYG editor function?

If we can find the button to change over to that...

we'll try it out. For now, we're still just getting the board functionality back to what we had with VB2...but as soon as we've got the bugs worked out, we'll take this thing out for a spin and see what it can really do.

Great method of posting for formatting. Check out this post at FOFC for example. The team roster post was simple done by copying and pasting from Excel, and the reports were a straight copy and paste from the game's HTML output. WIth the ease of exporting Mogul info to Excel, adding WYSIWYG would be a HUGE help in posting dynasty threads.

Oh, you can also look at the formatting in my BM dynasty thread (link in my signature). All I did to do that was export game info to Excel, then copy/paste.

Talking I've always been here...Just hidin'

I'm just back to help with the upgrade. I've been raising Ellie, helping pack boxes of Mogul orders and the like, doing some of the paperwork and running our small farm. We're growing mostly chicken poop at this point. We've got 15 barred rock chickens, 7 brown egg layers of mixed lineage, one spent hen and one ******* of a rooster who tries to kill us almost daily. He's going away next week to the farm we got him from. (No, he's not going in the pot, alas...much as I'd like to 'off' him. ) No eggs yet..but by August, we should be up to our eyeballs in omletes. Fortunately, Ellie's favorite meal is eggs. We've also got a few rescue cats and dogs around. The rescued dog has a moderately bad case of heartworm, but she's got 3 weeks to go and she'll be over that and going home with a vet who fell in love with her. Yay! And, I'm still doing trap-neuter-release with stray cats when I can...and my miles are (almost) free: I have a 2000 Jetta Diesel converted to run on waste vegetable oil from our local restaurants' fryers. http://www.greasecar.com If you drive any kind of diesel, this is a great way to save money we're finding.

So, that's where I've been -- just being crazy in CT, while Clay does his thang on the computer.

I'll look into that ASAP -- is it a mod I have to ad to VB do you think, or is it a setting in the control panel? That is fabulous!

It is in the control panel. Give me a couple of minutes, and I'll tell you exactly where...

Vbulletin Options (near top left of control panel main screen)-->Message Posting Interface Options-->Enable Standard and WYSIWYG Controls

Also, I have "Show smiliebox to WYSIWYG users" set to "yes," and windows color system picker set to "no."

    Hope that helps.

Let me know if you have any more control panel related questions. We switched over to vbulletin3 at FOFC a good while back. It is a HUGE upgrade from 2. Very powerful.

Heh. Cross-posted. Excellent. It will make a *huge* difference in posting dynasty threads once people realize how powerful a tool it is.
