I saw on ESPN that Placido Polanco wasnt very happy on the Phils. I bet they will trade him before the deadline and get some good prospects. They also are either going to have to trade Ryan Howard or Jim Thome, because both of them on the same team is a waste of talent.
Even in the tough NL East, the Braves will win their 15th straight division title...and everybody knows it!!!

I see Polanco gone too just for the spot. It's a tough call between Howard and Thome cause Howard can be the future but Thome brings in the fans.

I have a hard time seeing Thome being traded bacause this years hes shown hes injury prone and his batting only .200 with 1 homer. I have a feeling he'll split time with howard, as the phils slowly start to rebuild. You could also see howard switch positions poosiably. Maybe left field...

I thought they had him try LF and he just failed miserably. He's totally a 1B as far as I've heard.

I bet the Phils wish they were in the AL so they could have a DH. That way they could have both of them in the lineup.

Do you think both leagues should have the DH, keep it as one league, or take away the DH completely??

I despise the DL. I just think it takes so much of the strategy out of the game. It's better for pitchers because they can go more innings and have more physical protection but the whole strategy seems simplified because you can put in your long guy with the 9 hole coming up next and it's all the same.

I think that most, not all by far, but most managers who have been AL only don't compare to comparable win% NL managers.

I think either both leagues should have the DH or no leagues should have the DH, because i think it gives a unfair advantage between the two leagues. I do think DH's can still be hall of famers through. Edgar Martinez has the numbers and deserves it.

i mentioned this earlier in the thread but Clint Barmes!! He still has the best average in the bigs. I couldnt believe that he still held the top average in the MLB. He is having a very suprising season. Think he'll keep it up?

PS I think it was him that hit that inside the park homerun a couple days ago.
