I think the O's pitching will kill thier chances. Wade Miller was pitching pretty well tonight for his first start back, really surprising velocity on the fastball. He may be the real deal again. The yanks are just playing for themselves individually right now in my opinion. That is one of the things that used to kill the Red Sox every year.

Don't get me wrong the orioles are good, but common they can't beat the redsox and its going to be hard for them to beat the yankees. and like robinhoodnik said there pitching is gonna kill them. When the pitching develops watch out Redsox and Yankees...

man i have been so dissapointed with the M's lately. I was expecting big things from them and they just have not been winning. Beltre is not performing as expected, is horrible.

I am happy that the Braves crushed the Astros 16-0 today.
Even in the tough NL East, the Braves will win their 15th straight division title...and everybody knows it!!!

The mariners will come around... Beltre isn't going to hit only 2 homeruns every 120 at bats for the whole season, and i did you guys see Richie Sexsons walk off grand slam on sunday?

it wasnt a walk off. it was in the top of the 7th. the sox rallied for 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th to close the gap to 6-4 but never got closer

I agree, it used to be tino martinez, scott brosious, paul o'neil, and now the yankees just bring in new players every year. They did try to bring tino martinez back from some chemistry but that hasn't been working and hes like 40 now.

i think we can all the agree the yanks are not that great and are in trouble. but if your stenibrenner, what do you do? Do you fire a coach or front office guy, make a trade, or just hope it gets better?

I would imagine the Yanks will chuck every prospect they have for a guy like Wily Mo Pena, or Austin Kearns. Maybe Dunn/Casey for the right price.

The Reds aren't just gonna give away there top young players look for a veteran on a team that drops out of the playoffs to be traded to the yanks like todd helton...

i agree with rolls, the reds wont give away their young guys. I think the yankees are more likely to try to pick up a proven veteran who can have instant success. I doubt their interested in developing players, they want to win now.

expect a player like Jim Thome, Eric Chavez, or Todd Helton to be in the yankees uniform by the end of the year...

if the yankees did pick up thome, it would clear room for Ryan Howard who is going to be an all star if he ever gets a chance to play. And why arent the phils starting Chase Utley, makes no sense to me, Utley is a solid player, and a lot more useful than David Bell.

I don't think the Phils can compete and they need to start they younger players like cow said. Ryan Howard is a very special player and so is chase utley. Look for the team to trade there vets as they drop out of the playoff race in the season.
