Sosa used to be a very good base stealer so I'd imagine his experience would be a great help and may have been already. Being a speedy guy he may have never settled into a power stroke.

If he really needs help going from a speedy no power hitter to a speedy power hitter, he needs to call Brady Anderson.

Did he spend any time in the Orioles training camp? A few former Cubbies do that and it seems to help out a lot. Just sounds like it'd something that sounds right. Also, there's a reason Sosa was a captian all those years.

    haha!

    Actually it goes like this.

Speedy, to power, back to speedy, Andersons 1996 season was a fluke.

I think the White Sox made a great move picking up Scott Podsednik who not only makes a great leadoff hitter because of his speed, but also provides some clubhouse leadership they were missing last year. Actually, I picked them to win the division after spring training.

Picking up Podsednik was the worst move of the off season only because they traded a future mvp to get him in Carlos Lee. Right now Scott Podsednik doesn't even start and they are playing arron roward in center, timo perez in left, and Dye in right. And once Frank THomas comes back from injury they are going to bump timo perez and put carl everett in left. THere is no room for podsednik on the team.

LOL I dont think Lee's exactly a future MVP but what the team lacked last year was speed at the top of the line-up and if Podsednik's at the top of his game, he can steal 70+ bases. Whereas Everett is a clubhouse cancer has-been and should be traded(not to the Giants please! LOL!)

The AL Central i think is the weakest in the MLB. its a toss up between the twins, indians, and chi sox but i dont think the sox are going win it. i came into the year convinced the twins would come away with, but they are counting are a lot of guys that are not really young, but new to the MLB. my best guess to win it is the indians who are pretty solid all around(plus they got washington native Grady Sizemore). Belliard, Coco Crisp, Travis Hafner, Ben Broussard, and of course Victor Martinez are all really good. Their pitching isnt too bad either.

    White Sox
    Tigers

Even in the tough NL East, the Braves will win their 15th straight division title...and everybody knows it!!!

How can Podsedniks speed help the whitesox if hes not playing... But good news for podsednik he has started in 2 straight games now.

I am not dissing them i am just stating the truth.

So far i haven't seen anything from the indians or the twins and i don't expect the whitesox to keep up there current pace but i still expect them to win there division cause frankly there division is by far the worst division in baseball.

i agree, AL Central is the worst in baseball. the indians did look pretty good when they beat the mariners 6-1 last night. the white sox have a defenite chance to win it. i think their pitching has been far better than the twins this year.

It did last year. When the Red Sox beat the Yankees right after Veritek punched Rodriquez, that was the turning point of the season. After that the Sox were not going to lose.
