I concur, that would be awesome. Maybe there's some way to write code so that players have a whole lifespan in the game, from player to coach to manager to death, and maybe have a random number of them with kids who go on to become players, like the Boone family. Like, a backup catcher like Mike Redmond may be a mediocre player, but he could be a fine manager sometime in the future, and that would be incredible to see in the game. Players with higher ratings in certain areas would be more likely to become coaches, etc.

Something I would like to see is umpire stats that have an effect on a game. I've seen they track R/G, BB/G, K/G for umpires. Just think it would add a nice touch.
Please make at least a small effort to stay on topic.

40 man roster would be amazing.......players in the minors have 4 "free" years on the minor league roster b4 the MLB team has to choose to keep them on the 40 man roster or expose them to the rule V draft....the ONE thing i think would be most important though: somehow fix the AI so that they dont sign really good players and then put them in the minor leagues.....i hate having to go to the commissioner mode and going thru the teams to put their best team on the field......

I like a bunch of the ideas up there, but I really would like the month by month stats for players and the month by month record on my calender. I don't know why that got taken down.

Re: Baseball Mogul 2007 Feature Poll

*Make sure statistics are accuately recorded (winning pitcher, etc.)
*Add intentional walks to computer controll play in PBP mode.
*Correct the "errors" problem with catchers and outfielders. Fewer dropped pop-ups by catcher in fair territory and reaching base on outfielder errors on fly balls; add throwing errors by outfielders instead, and pass balls by catchers.
*More options on base running in PBP mode.
*More realistic trading. When I offer a young pitcher rated 78 for an older pitcher rated 73, the AI GM usually scoffs. Maybe he just knows I was kidding and trying to test him.
*Ability to sign free agents to minor league contracts.
*Box scores and player cards should list statistics in same order, with things like "year" added to player card. Order should be like listed in part 2 on Clay's message. Box scores should be as they are in the papers, i. e., AB, Runs, Hits, RBIs...extended further as they are now.

How about weekly/monthly awards? I just had Curt Schilling strike out 19 in a game. Think he deserves Pitcher/Player of week?

I haven't read all of the postings, but what about something akin to a bench coach who suggests possible situational reactions (ie. late in the game, down by a run, you get a hit. Bench coach suggests "We should pinch run with Player X, he has more speed."

I would like the ability to hire scouts, coaches and managers (similar to Season Ticket Baseball). I love this game mainly for the GM capabilities and the more that offered, the happier I am.

One more thought....how about player vs team stats? How does Andrew Jones do against Colorado? Some players have better luck against certain teams....
