That's pretty interesting. I like that the engine for this took so many factors into account. I'd tend to agree with those numbers IF these players were using steroids.

No I'm not joking. If I was joking I would have said "So a guy walks into a bar..."

guys, Ken Griffey Junior would have hit 501 homers.....becuase he never used Steriods or even worked out in his prime.

Also, you cant really account for all the pitchers that used Steriods either, CLemens looks kind of big.......

If you take it all out, maybe we might find something......

Maybe Ken Griffey junior would have hit 600 homers on weaker pitching...or if McGuire never took them, maybe he would be the homerun champ, becuase he had a couple of seasons where he really sucked....maybe the intro of his steriod use....when his swing didnt match his body anymore...I believe even one year, he it .201...

also for serious players who actually work out, maybe they are being brought into this mess...someone like Frank Thomas....who at one time was concidered the right handed Ted Williams.

The year Mc Gwire hit around .200 he was benched near the end to avoid going under the Mendoza line. But remember he also hit 49 home runsas a slim rookie. He's also got a gold glove.

really sad, I think that steriods only made McGuire big, didnt really help his career that much, he had the power in the first place....

that also leads me to specalate that Steriods has little to know help in a sport like baseball.....

I don't think they added too many to Mc Gwires' total. I don't remember him hitting a lot of "cheap" homeruns. I think the drugs just made the distance a lot greater on balls that were going to be souveneirs anyway.
