Short on Cash? Sell a draft pick!

The game allows you to trade draft picks directly for cash. I don't believe the NFL allows that...

    regardless

Regardless, I get 50M+ for my draft package EVEn if I have the lowest picks because I won the "world championship". Thats a bit too much for nothing

Yep, it seems a bit high, but I don't truly have a problem with it.

Strange since I can't seem to trade any draft picks. I can't even offer them up on trade screens or Get Offers screens.

Well I was just doing the college draft and when my first round pick came up, #5, I got a message box saying I couldn't afford to draft a player at that spot because it would put me over the salary cap. It suggested that I trade away that pick for some cash that will allow me to draft someone with my next pick.

This is the biggest reason we allow trading picks for cash -- even if you can't do it in the NFL. It's no fun to get to the draft and realize you don't have enough to sign a top player.

You might just let them go over the cap during the draft -- but then require them to get under before the first game. This would be more like reality. (Not exact, but close enough for a computer game)

That's a good point, but we still have the cash limiting issue.

Obviously, real life is more complicated. If you are drafting Eli Manning, you'll call your banker and arrange a loan to make sure he has the proper signing bonus. But in Mogul we want to keep the cash simple while also providing some hard limit (and thus a link between ticket sales and success etc.)
