Where do you stand regarding the next release of Football Mogul?
I plan to buy Football Mogul 2004 when it comes out.
I will try the demo of Football Mogul 2004.
I'm in no hurry to get a new Football Mogul. I'll wait until next year.
I'm not interested in buying Football Mogul.

I think that Football Mogul may have missed its chance for selling well this season. Had it come out a month ago then it would have been the lone new version of a football text sim available ( that I know of ).
Right now, Front Office Football 2004 has just been released where it finally offers multiplayer capability to its long line of releases - I think it is the 5th release of the pro version.
Total Pro Football is about to be released sometime this month and has built a surprisingly good reputation for a game that has not been released ( if that is at all possible ).
With that in mind, Football Mogul would have needed to come out as a fairly mature product to have diverted attention from the other two. If that is at all possible then I say go for the release now. If the game needs further refinement then wait to release it next season - around preseason time when interest is just starting to build up for football.
Take a look at the competition. If your sim measures up then release it...if not hold on to it a year. I already have bought FOF 2004 and am impressed. I will be buying TPF and am even more excited about it. Take a look at it's screenshots and you'll see what I mean. http://www.400softwarestudios.com/tpf/tpf_screens.php
Anyway I bought the previous two FM's. I loved the first one and had so many problems with the 2nd one it was crazy. If you could release a game that was bug free(or close)...I would buy it anyway. It's gameplay was always simple, fast, and fun(the first one).
Completely disagree. FM beats all them by a longshot. Okay, in FM you do not need to get a very rare patch to put in real players and real teams. Its plain and simple and very good. Not some graphic good everything else stinks thing.
RELEASE FM 04 PLEASE!
I like those screen shots. But FM has all of the real players which is huge in my opinion! WE WANT FOOTBALL MOGUL 2004!
Guys, it doesnt have all the real players. The last two football moguls I, me, made the file that allowed people to play with real players. Sportsmogul would have to have a contract with the NFLPA to be able to use real players. It's very expensive to have that so they don't. Anyway I'm just saying if you looked at the feature lists for the two games already released and the features from the last football mogul you wouldnt believe how many more their are on the other two.
I had FM Demo 03 and I did not see any fake players did you? No.Originally posted by cody8200

I'm going to reserve judgement until I try the demo. After playing Baseball Mogul for a couple of years now, I was a little surprised with Football Mogul 2003. It seemed to take a few steps back from the last Baseball release.
A lot of the things which I had grown accustomed to in Basebal were puzzlingly absent in Football. The ability to use players out of thier stated positions was in the earliest versions of Baseball, and yet nonexistant in Football. I can live with not changing a players pos. permanently, but having to cut a starter in order to sign a poor backup guard when I had adequate backup tackles who could sub, kind of killed my enthusiasm.
I still enjoy Football Mogul 2003 to a certain extent, but it gets frustrating compared to Baseball Mogul. The mogul series is a decent value, but I don't see the point of bying the new season version if there are only going to be minor tweaks to the game. It seemed like you were considering a lot of improvements for the new version, but I want to wait to see how different this years model is.
Sorry but after beta testing last years I had no interest in buying it (just didn't have the baseball mogul feel and polish) and honestly with it being half way through the nfl football season I probably won't try this years either (unless the demo blows me away). I would honestly like to just see you finish up major things to the core or whatever to football mogul and just wait till aug/sep of this next year for release and focus on baseball mogul 2005.
**** that game looks amazing. I know what I am getting.Originally posted by 21C
