I understand your frustration...it's a little more complicated than what you are saying. They need to consistently release games on a set schedule so they have enough funds to pay for development and the support of the games. Since there was some financial issues with Football Mogul (from what I've heard), they can't just sit around for a year fixing a game while they have no money coming in.
Try the BBM 2k4 demo. It's a very good game.
