    They don't call 1968 The Year of the Pitcher for no reason.

    Well, this boxscore is from 1969 (not 1968), after they had taken steps to improve the offense.

    Also, the game is dated September 15, 1969, so about two weeks left to play in a typical season. St Louis and Cleveland are now 1-0 and 0-1 respectively. Not to mention that there was no interleague play in 1969 (maybe the game permits this as an option, I don't know). This whole thing is weird to me.
