Cool Three strange observations as to how screwed up America is today

    1. Seems we constantly hear about how Social Security is going to run out of money. But we never hear about welfare or food stamps running out of money? What's interesting is the first group "worked for" their money, but the second didn't.

Funny how that works. And here's another one worth considering...

    2. Why are we cutting benefits for our veterans, no pay raises for our military and cutting our army to a level lower than before WWII, but we are not stopping the payments or benefits to illegal aliens

Think about it.....and Last but not least :

    3. We are advised to NOT judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics.

Any way, keep working ... as I'm counting on you helpful financial support these days.

No, guy who misspelled his user name and corrected another poster's "english", you didn't fix anything - "ya" is precisely what I meant.

Also, the subject of a sentence can be implied. Take the following sentence as an example:
    Go **** yourself.
The subject, "you", is unnecessary to include, because it is understood.

So, you made grammatical mistakes while the posts you took offense to were simple stylistic choices.

Non-standard: Not the form that is accepted as standard.

Also, the subject can be implied when you are Giving an imperative sentence. Those give commands such as, "Walk the dog", "Go **** yourself", or "Suck my sweaty nut sack". The sentence, "Fixed for ya" is not an imperative sentence. No commands are given. The subject for an imperative sentence is "you", never "I".

    Sorry to cramp your style.

Nothing there implies the idea of "incorrect".

Null-subjects are most frequently used in imperitive sentences. However, that is not the only time is it acceptable to use them.

    • "A subject is normally essential in English sentence structure--so much so that a dummysubject must sometimes be introduced (e.g. It is raining). Subjects are, however, usually missing from imperative sentences (e.g. Listen!) and may be ellipted in an informal context (e.g. See you soon)."
(Sylvia Chalker and Edmund Weiner, Oxford Dictionary of English Grammar. Oxford University Press, 1994)

My informal style is not, in the slightest, cramped by the likes of you, dicky.
Now, about those capital letters and that comma in your post about the poor English skills of others...

I'm fine if you wish to call your poor grammar "informal". It was you who came in here and started playing grammar police attacking informal internet chatter and ****ed it up. I never attached HGM's spelling, I attacked his ability to read and comprehend as the original post made perfect sense. If you're going to play grammar cop, you should make an attempt to be correct. Oh wait, you did that and failed.

The subject for an imperative sentence is ALWAYS "you" and is a command. "Suck it." "Eat me". "Admit when you're wrong." "Go jump off a bridge and do society a favor."

Each of those are imperative sentences where the subject is implied.
