    New Tool: Import Stats

Without the NFLPA license, it is important that Football Mogul 2003 have the ability to import statistical data containing updated rosters and statistics.

This link describes the Import Stats feature that is currently being developed.

It imports 10 files from c:\football stats\. I have attached those files here, and will soon be posting a version of Football Mogul 2003 that supports this features.

Note that in these files only one rookie has PREDICTED stats (for the veterans, the stats are derived from career data). I should also soon be adding Games Played and Games Started data.

    Thanks for your feedback!

    New EXE with 'Import Stats'

I'm having trouble with a the RELEASE version of Football Mogul crashing during Import Stats. Therefore, for now, you will have to test this feature with the DEBUG version (attached - version 2.1.2.0). You can find Import Stats on the Tools Menu. Just make sure your files are in c:\football stats\ and select 'Import Stats'.

This is currently somewhat "user unfriendly", so any feedback on improving the process would be appreciated. You will see I am still finishing the help files describing this tool.

the salary thing on the scouting report seems to be fixed. but i noticed none of the players had any games played or started. don't know where you can put this.

also, i noticed some players didn't have any previous year stats. like tony boselli for example. don't know how this could've happened. maybe 'cause he was hurt?

i like this idea thought. this will be good for creating entire new leagues with entirely created players. i can't wait!

I don't yet have the Games Played and Games Started data. This also means no seasonal data for offensive linemen -- so this database can't tell the difference between starting OLs and backups.

Towards this end, we will be able to import RATINGS for OLs, in Pass Blocking and Rush Blocking. As I won't have time to find and edit this data, we can hopefully do the following:

    1) This beta group can compile ratings for OLs and I can import them before we ship.

    2) After the game ships, the "gaming public" can continue to tweak and update this data, and import it using the Import Stats feature.

For formats on this data, check out the blocking.csv file in the attached (above) zip file.
