Bama D is nasty and LSU has good special teams (even with Bama punting away from Mathieu). If you don't like D, that's cool, you're the reason the Arena League was invented

They deserved to be #1 b/c they were the lone undefeated team with a brutal schedule. They're defense is definitely on par with Bama's and may even be better. Hard to tell when LSU's offense puts so much pressure on their defense to play perfect

Good news though, the all offense & no defense Arena League will be starting their new season in 2 months

I'm not really saying they don't deserve to be there with the system how it is. After that loss, the SEC looks totally overrated though. I can't buy into a team that before this game were considered the best in the Nation and can only put up 92 yards of total offense.

Yeh, LSU's offense was worse than usual tonite, but Bama's D gave up less than 9 points a game this season. They give all offenses major problems, much less when the other offense hasn't played at game speed for over a month (which is another reason to swap the bowl system for a playoff)

As for the SEC looking overrated, 2 of LSU's victories were over the PAC 12 & Big East champs

I don't know where I said I don't like defense. I like defense. What I don't like is an inept offense and piss poor play calling. But everyone go suck the SECs dick for having incredible defenses. They are pretty good but what I saw out of Les Miles tonight was a joke in terms of play calling.

But don't worry, I hear the Broncos-Chiefs January 1st game is going to be on NFL Network soon for you Eto since you love defenses so much. Or maybe you can catch the MLS in April.

LSU put up 40 points against Oregon, 47 on WV, and 42 on Georgia. The idea that they can't play offense is silly. They just, like every other team in the world, struggle against a crazy elite defense like Bama's.

Never said the Oregon D is anything but sub par. In fact, if they had any shred of a defense they would have run the table this year. But I never brought up Oregon.

See post above. Oregon's defense was a joke this year. They consistently allowed teams like Wazzou to drop 27 on them. CU was the only game where they actually looked like they knew what they were doing.

But whatever, everyone loves it when a team is all defense no offense but laughs at a team that is all offense no defense. It's still completely leaving behind 1/3 of the game but since this is 'Murica where strong men make strong things and we build the gawddamn thing ourselves we like the side of the ball that isn't sexy and works hard.

SEC offenses are so good, look at all the great QB's that are going to be drafted out of that conference.

I like watching teams with good D & O. Doesn't mean that I ignore good defense when I see it simply because I want a 50-40 game every time I watch football. If you don't like Bama or LSU's defense, that's fine. Some people don't appreciate pitcher's duels in baseball either

Not saying whether or not they'll be great, but Murray, Bray, & Wilson will be drafted (too far off to tell with any other underclassmen outside of Bray)


Not saying LSU offense is stellar, but as already mentioned they posted some points on numerous other bowl teams. Jefferson looked worse than normal (not surprised as he does have a reputation for not having a great work ethic, which would seem to really hinder a player with 40+ days off)

I prefer a healthy balance honestly. I don't like Championship level teams looking completely inept in one aspect of the game. Guess I should have seen this coming because LSU is ranked 80th in total offense.
