    That's definitely true.

Let's give him a little credit there big guy. He deserves some.
Tim Tebow drove the Broncos about 25 yards to get that field goal. Matt Prater made the kick of his life. You're giving Tim Tebow credit for his kicker making a 59-yard FG? If he had missed that kick, would people have blamed Tebow for not getting him closer? I highly doubt it.

This does not make any sense whatsoever. I am not "anti-Tebow." I just don't think he's any good, and I think the media fellation of him is ridiculous.

Good, glad we got that settled.

I will re-iterate: NOBODY here said they hated Tebow. Digging up a post of someone accusing others of "hating" is not making your point.

Dragging that up when I was using the words of a prior poster, and insinuating that anyone is lumping Tebow in with Vick and OJ, is amazingly intellectually dishonest, Dickay. Keep that kind of garbage arguing in Ejections, TYVM.
where did I say that someone in HERE said they "hated" Tebow??????? Find it for me smart a$$? I was speaking of those who "hate" just as you were when you made your post. Insecure much?

You quoted my post, guy. And generally speaking, I try not to make broad, sweeping accusations on a forum regarding discussions outside of it.

huh??? does it matter if i quoted your post or the guy who made the initial post? point is still the same.

and btw, you were the one saying how much pacman jones is hated as an example of those hated more than Tebow (thus confirming that in your opinions there's hatred towards him). i guess thats why you prefaced this quote with "generally speaking" though......as these appear to be broad, sweeping accusations regarding those outside this forum...

Forgive me for thinking you were Anti-Tebow when you won't give the guy any credit whatsoever. For anything. Even when on the final 3 drives yesterday Tebow was good, but go ahead forget that to go on your own narrative that Tebow sucks and always will suck. On the TD drive they went 7 plays 63 yards and methodically marched down the field. The field goal drive they went 39 yards in 50 seconds with no timeouts. But NONE of that had to do with Tebow? NONE? Who said I was giving Tebow more credit than Prater who kicked the piss out of a ball and hit the clutchiest 59 yarder in the history of clutch? No one but you. I didn't say that. What I am saying is give the kid some ****ing credit already and stop adamantly standing on the side you stand on because of the media. Have some ****ing FUN with football!

If you were my friend on facebook you would know I'm in no way a Tebow lover. Every week I posted my hate for the kid and every week I found myself telling people to get over Tebow, that this offense was unsustainable that Tebow still hadn't showed me anything. Then I learned something on Sunday, there's no fun in that. Where there is fun is watching a team of ragtag sons of bitches win football games with a QB that shouldn't be doing ANYTHING in the NFL, and a coach that is smart enough to allow this kid to do **** he's good at.

Tim Tebow is not an NFL QB and for so many weeks I hated that people loved him. Because he's mediocre at passing, he is still developing overall as a decision maker and he's got a big run first mentality. I don't anymore, I've come to accept that this is pretty ****ing cool. And that coming back from 10 points in 3 minutes is pretty ****ing remarkable and all 22 starters plus Prater and Colquitt deserve the credit INCLUDING Tim Tebow. This is incredible. This shouldn't be happening and that's EXACTLY why it's so ****ing awesome.

But, Kobie, even if you don't want to admit it, you're just as adamant AGAINST Tebow's successes as his crazy cult lovers are FOR them. That's why you've been all-caps raging for two days on a forum with people you don't even know about the kid. That's why you keep demanding that he beats a good team, that you keep demanding that people accept that he's not very good, you keep DEMANDING in all caps that the media get off his balls. Why? Why if you're indifferent to his existence do you argue with us?

Oh, **** you. I've made it abundantly clear that I simply do not care about Tim Tebow's religious beliefs.

Well that was tongue in cheek. But my point is, if you don't stand against him then why are you so mad that the media likes him? I'm not exactly on the side that Tim Tebow's gonna make it, but I'm indifferent to the media coverage on him because I learned a long time ago not to give a ****. Media or not, you're here. You're arguing, so why?

That's nice that you're indifferent to the media coverage. I'm not. I am a student of the media. I work in the industry, and I hate what the media has become. So when someone gets massive amounts of undue media worship, it irritates the living hell out of me.

The media doesn't "like" Tim Tebow. The media worships Tim Tebow. This morning on Sportscenter, they talked about Tim Tebow for 10 straight minutes. That's overkill on a level we haven't seen since Tiger Woods rammed his car into a fire hydrant.

Oh and I also hate him because he's a Christian.*

    * -- Last part is not true, that was just for dickay to gnaw on since he's apparently got that classic Christian persecution complex.

    Re: 2011 NFL Talk Thread

I'm not a student of the media? I am a senior graduating with a degree in Journalism, I will work in the media for pretty much my entire life. I've also come to accept that media now is a for-money industry and getting pissed off that they latch onto a guy that drives ratings (they also jizz all over the Celtics and Tom Brady and Tony Romo on a daily basis) isn't going to help anyone. Mostly because it's probably not going to change just because you're mad. All you sound like is a very angry old man yelling at his kids to get off his lawn. If you want to fight what the media has become, stop consuming what ESPN is putting out there. That's all you can do. Hell, that's all I do during baseball season. It's MLB Network or the internet for me. **** ESPN.

They talked 10 minutes on the Cowboys too. That's also overkill to freak out over a mediocre team losing. But it's the Cowboys!

So you can keep getting angry, keep getting pissed off like my Dad, or you can realize that getting angry hasn't helped anyone in a very long time and just say "**** it." Because life's a hell of a lot easier when Tim Tebow media coverage doesn't make your lucky charms soggy.

And congratulations to Tim Tebow for defeating the Bears all by himself. Quite an accomplishment.
