The Denver Tebows would dominate the Hoof Division.

I find it notable that every QB in the hoof division is from a different college conference: Fitzpatrick (Ivy), Yates (ACC), Tebow (SEC), Orlovsky (Big East), Bradford (Big 12)

Also true of the Awesome MFers division: Grossman (SEC), Brady (Big Ten), Freeman (Big 12), Palko (Big East), Palmer (Pac 12), Ponder (ACC)
    Illini.

    Re: 2011 NFL Talk Thread

My two cents on Tebow seeing as how I get all the media blasts blasts on a hourly basis is this.

This is what happens when a guy sells jerseys. I went to the game today, there were people there wearing Florida Tebow unis. Clearly, they were JUST Tebow fans. So that's why the media gets a boner when he's successful. Because their audience shares that boner.

Also, as a standard NFL QB, Tim is far from good. He's inaccurate and sloppy but before we get on the constant hate train the guy does some things very well specifically, he never gets himself into trouble. Sure he makes bad throws...but unlike Joe Flacco his bad throws don't find another jersey on the field...they hit the turf. He had Two turnovers today and that was the first time i could say...holy **** Tim turned it over what the hell.

Second, let's give the kid credit for pulling this **** off. It shows that his poise and on a physical level it shows his conditioning. The Broncos are pulling these wins out of their asses yes. Barber handed them today's win...yes. But can we give the kid SOME credit? I mean Jesus its either a whacko saying he's the reason the broncos won or it's that he makes no impact whatsoever. How bout we admit teebs has his struggles but hey, he's there when you need him most like a dad in a 90s comedy.

Hate Tim all you want, that's not going to stop ESPN from playing to a narrative and that's not going to stop him from tebolololololing the league.

    saint
    n.
    1.
A person who has died and gone to heaven.

So first off, you're dead. Secondly, you're bombarded with even more Tebow talk while in heaven. Also, any other definition of saint is irrelevant to this topic

    really? I found this confusing then;
    5. There haven't been any other players more hated than Tebow besides Vick and O.J.? Are you drunk? Howsabout Pacman Jones, for starters.
i was speaking of those that "hate" when i said what it was i said. it's the height of absurdity when tebow is mentioned with these charecters.

And that's ludicrous hyperbole. Please, find where someone said they "hated" Tebow here who isn't a fanboy accusing others of "hating."

I will re-iterate: NOBODY here said they hated Tebow. Digging up a post of someone accusing others of "hating" is not making your point.

Dragging that up when I was using the words of a prior poster, and insinuating that anyone is lumping Tebow in with Vick and OJ, is amazingly intellectually dishonest, Dickay. Keep that kind of garbage arguing in Ejections, TYVM.

The media is SUPPOSED to be impartial and look at the big picture, not get collective wood over a guy who is benefiting from being in the right place at the right time. And that goes FAR beyond Teblow.

He runs extremely well. He doesn't back down from contact. And when he does throw into traffic, he's so wildly inaccurate that those passes aren't likely to hit a defender's hands either.

I think Matt Prater was 20 times more responsible for that win than Tebow was.

Again, find the "hate," as opposed to "holy crap this guy is lucky." Again, Tebow didn't kick the field goals, Tim Tebow didn't force Barber's fumble, yet everything I see from the "hate" media says "Tebow beats Chicago."

If you are clamoring for an impartial media maybe you should go back in time so Disney and other corporations can't buy media companies and turn them into money makers.

Tebow did play well in overtime and those final four minutes. He turns into a completely different quarterback. I can't explain it, but he finds receivers in the final two minutes he couldn't find the last 58. he lead the team with 56 seconds left down to get that field goal. Let's give him a little credit there big guy. He deserves some.

Kobie, honestly, your angst and anti Tebow stance only perpetuates his legend to people that love him when the broncos win. Trust me, I know as well as anyone that defense led by Von and Elvis is more of a reason for the broncos 6 straight wins than Tebow ever will. But there is something special about this kid in the 4th quarter...I can't deny it anymore.

Generally*, as you go back in time, you find the news media to be increasingly partisan, not less so. This was as true of sports reporting as other reporting.

*I say "generally", because I think a reasonable case can be made that the news media has become less impartial in the last 25 years or so, but if you go back further, you find they were more partisan the further you go back.

You guys know the media did the same exact thing to Vince Young, right? The only reason he lost his winning momentum is that he started going crazy and Jeff Fischer got sick of him.
