I just watched the James Blake arrest footage. Thats ridiculous. That doesn't happen to him if he is white. This kind of stuff happens everyday, luckily Blake is a semi- celebrity so he got an apology, but that's just poor policing.

What's even more absurd is that the person they supposedly were investigating was being investigated/arrested for credit card fraud. I mean, obviously someone committing credit card fraud should be arrested, prosecuted, etc., but is that really a crime that should be treated with that level of violence/force from the get go?

Water Heater at my florida condo started leaking - tenant noticed a huge puddle in the storage shed and a steady flow out. I was hoping it was just a valve leak, but no dice, needed a complete replacement.

It was after hours so the local company wanted to charge $170 for a visit alone. Instead I used my wife's real estate management connection in FL, and I got the whole thing replaced for $150 in labor, $378 in materials. That was Thursday from 4-7pm, when the issue came up Wednesday at 4pm. What a win!

Maaaan I love when things go right! Not even out a whole month's rent and water heater is good for 10 years or so.

I contacted both senators from my state about gun control. this is ridiculous. Here's a script - feel free to use it and email-blast your own senators and representatives:

We've had news of classroom and college shootings pretty consistently over the last few years. Common sense national gun laws that limit automatic weapons and require mental health and background checks and waiting periods have yet to be passed. Instead our elected officials act as mouthpieces for the NRA and other high-paying lobbying special interest groups. They point the blame to mental illness, which is responsible for 5% or less of shooting deaths accordingly to multiple studies. The other 95% are perfectly sane killers with easy access to guns.

When will our senators do something about it? Stop caving in to your shadowy supporters. Do the right thing for the people of this nation. Should we feel unsafe sending our children to schools? Should we be terrified while attending college? Should we continue to let republicans point to hiring security, or training teachers with guns, or blame nebulous unsolveable constructs like 'mental health' (while opposing health care for all, of course)?

No. We should no do any of those things.

You were elected to work for your constituents. Do it, now. This is a clear problem, citizens are overwhelmingly in favor of common sense gun control, and endless other countries avoid these problems by avoiding guns in the wrong hands. It's time to show that Republicans are more than a mouthpiece for corporations at the expense of LIVES.

Stand up and do something, or you can be sure we will push every day for a new senator that WILL.

Sanders ... now that was FUNNY ... even better would be him and Clinton as the DNC ticket that would be a too funny.

    Cruz ... lol

Rubio might make a good VP with Donald as the next President of the USA.

Unfortunately (for you) there just aren't enough racist white dudes to get Trump elected

Seeing as he has virtually no support from women, Latinos, or anyone brown. Or any white people of education or decent world experience

So the only real question is can we get Bernie past Hillary or do we have to settle for another Clinton presidency

I love your optimism but Sanders is just promising every one something free with no possible way of paying for it, other than more debt (ie print the money).

Where as Trump is looking to finally fix the pressing problems of closing the border and cutting down ISIS. Obama's climate change problem has yet to be proven to the majority of people as we have had climate change 4 times every year since "forever" (called the seasons know to many of us).

Each time Obama brings up reforming gun control laws thousands more Americans go out and get one before it's too late. Obama has caused more people to get a gun than you can image. He has tried to get fewer guns in the the hands of Americans and has actually put more of them into their hands, rather ironic, isn't it? When you see the government not protecting and providing us with national security, you just have to take matters into your own hands.

I win this election either way. If Trump isn't the next President, my wife agress I get my guns and Concealed Carry Permit. Target practice becomes my next retirement project.

    Awe-inspiringly uninformed.

    http://uspolitics.about.com/od/Gun-C...d-By-Obama.htm

Obama has done nothing on gun control except for sign two bills EXPANDING gun owners' rights - the right to carry them into parks, and the right to carry them in Amtrak luggage. Yet these gun nut goobers run around with their hair on fire - "He's coming to get your guns! Not the first term…the second term! Not in the first half of the second term…no, in his last year, THAT's when the guns will be taken away!!!11one!!"

Obama is always going to be the villain, even when he implements Republican ideas, continues largely-Republican policies, has Republicans in his cabinet, tries to work with Republicans endlessly, and does nothing but help extreme Republican causes (like gun control).

Do you ever fact-check this stuff, and realize you are a buffoon?

You guys think Obama was bad for Republicans, wait til President Sanders ends all this corporate handout ********, raises the minimum wage to $21/hr and makes corporations and wall street pay their fair tax share instead of skating by while the masses (and national debt) pick up their bill. It's gona be paid for, people are gonna love it, and Tea Party dipshits are going to look even dumber than they currently do on Climate Change, Medicaid expansion, and everything else that they oppose without any factual backing.

To have a president not in the pocket of big banks or big business or anything else would be a game-changer. I can't hope hard enough that it happens. To have that as one choice in Sanders, but opt for a fascist/racist reality-TV star who thinks every American can borrow a few million in a "small loan," is good enough reason for a citizen to be forced to colonize Mars IMO.

Raising the minimum wage to $21 ... only will case inflation .. lol And with the National Debt at $19 trillion the USA government can't handle that.

If MickyD workers minimum goes UP ... so will everybody else wages go UP at the same rate. Geez are you libs really that lame to think the bottom wage workers can get ahead by just raising their wages. I laugh every time the Dems bring up raising the minimum wage. Reps should replay "Yea man lets raise it to $30 an hour."

BTW .. have already seen this happen in the mid 70's when President Carter was in office (remember). It started with the big 3 US auto makers giving into UNIONS wanting unbelievable wage hikes. The Union workers got their wages higher and so did us White Collar workers .. they gained nothing as we saw 13 percent inflation. Oh, those were the days my friends. CDs at the banks of 11 - 13 percent ... lol (LOVED IT!) You can't stop the rich from getting richer (won't ever happen).

Re: Official "What are you thinking about right now?" (Political Version)

Yes, raising the minimum wage to $15 has totally destroyed Seattle with rampant inflation, everything there costs more. It's like the west coast's version of NYC now! Except that it's not.

One technique the Repubs always use is pointing to "facts" that simply aren't supported by evidence. From voter fraud to trickle down to death panels to this, it's almost always wrong, disproved, not supported by any shred of research, and yet...it sticks in weak brains for some reason.

So hey, now that a politician-turned-TV reality star has endorsed a TV reality star-turned-hopeful-politician, do you see Trump's numbers going up? The Palin bump? I can't imagine that anyone who really digs Palin isn't already firmly in the Trump camp, but I am not the best at predicting the behavior of the uninformed, racist and religious zealots that make up so much of the R base nowadays.
