Ravens with a big day today. Housh managed to put up a whopping 0 receiving yards.
Also, holy ****, Denver is getting absolutely steamrolled by the Raiders. Crazy.
You know, it really isn't the 49ers year. When Matt Moore shreds you up you know you have a lot of work to do in the off-season.
Mike Williams continues to prove the only reason he wasn't successful in his career was because of off the field issues.
With Seattle running out the rest of the 4th quarter it looks likely Mike Williams will end his day with 12 receptions and 90 some yards. Inb4 everyone bashes me for recognizing talent and the fact that Detroit ruins everything. QQ
Whatever. I'm not getting pulled in to this again. Call when you decide 'logic' is relevant.
-For anyone that finds the Baltimore Ravens defense, they're offering a reward for it's return.
-I am no longer surprised at the Saints being completely all over the map. I wasn't even shocked that Cleveland beat them. I still don't know why it has happened, but they're lost.
-Denver...just, what in the ****? I mean, I knew you weren't any great shakes, but...what the ****? You made JASON CAMPBELL look good!
-Begin the QB carousel in Philly...Andy Reid has already said Vick starts next week.
-San Diego is losing their season to nothing more than absolute and total stupidity. I don't think I've ever seen a team collectively that dumb in quite some time. And you know, maybe throwing the ball to that Gates guy might have been a decent choice BEFORE the 4th quarter...just sayin'...
-Mike Martz is awful. He is completely incapable of making adjustments to try to protect his quarterback, and I often get the feeling that he doesn't make changes because he figures he's a genius, goddammit! Geniuses don't need to change things! Couple that with a sulky quarterback who likes to try to throw through triple coverage while being planted on his back and you get the Bears 'offense'.
Seriously has no one figured out play calling? a few note:
Chicago dropped back to pass 45 time and ran it just 15, while the pass happy run depleted skins had a 36/23 split, not surpisingly the skins won.
In a game that was just a one score game up to 22 seconds left, Andy Reid dhad Kolb drop back 55 times and run it 21, Tennessee managed a more balanced 34/26 split
In Miami Chad Henne dropped back 37 times and Brown/Williams got just 21 runs, while Big Ben dropped back 32 times and handed it off 23
In a game that remained with-in a score for 56 minutes, Jax and Todd Boumon chucked it 37 times and handed off just 21, KC had just 19 drop backs and 42 Runs ...
In another close game the combo of Alex Smith and David Carr dropped back 34 times and attempted 21 runs while the panthers passed 44 and ran in 33.
In all those close game, the team that refused to pound the ball lost, this is not coincidence,
Big day for Matt Ryan and the Falcons.
