Personally, while the maturity level is higher on the OOTP boards, I haven't been impressed with them overall. Now, I haven't posted much there, but when I have, I've rarely gotten useful responses. Maybe it's the issues I've posted about (awards missing, questions about ERA+/OPS+).... but here, a question about the game rarely goes unanswered.
    majorly agree.

the support system over there is half of what it is here. Even though there are more people on that board, they aren't nearly as helpful when a new gamer posts common questions that they couldn't find the answers to.

Seriously whats with all these OOTP threads here, some people see then and think OOTP is better, google it and there it is. so dont come complaining that there are trolls causing trouble and that turns people away, yeah maybe trolls take people away from the forums, but that is not the major problem. Whats witht the bbm vs ootp thread, isnt that driving away customers? isnt that thread making sense to people that their is a better game out there, ootp is way better way thought out than mogul. Only mogul will be always caterized as a fun game to play. When you compare mogul and ootp, ootp is like a 9.3 and bbm is like a 7.8, Clay shouldnt b worring about you guys on the forum and you'll complaining and focus on making mogul a better game.
I wonder who would win, you are tnp in a spelling contest.

That said, if there is a better game out there that would improve someone's gaming experience, you aren't doing anyone any service by not talking about it.

Again, this is comparable to all of us (posters here) sitting at a bar drinking and talking and a few people keep talking about a competing bar down the street. The bar as a whole can probably maintain their business fine, since there are so many patrons, but if a few people talk and decide to go to a different bar, then that will happen, and those people should be allowed to discuss going to that bar. As well, I personally, avoid going to certain bars in real life, because of kiddies that get in....I tend to appreciate going to slightly older bars (as in not under 21 allowed) because I tend to enjoy my time more and there is less drama there (usually)....

if you think about it, the analogy works quite well for the topic at hand.

OOTP forum is the competing bar, and they sell xyz liquor. And the mogul forum is the bar we are all currently in, and they are selling yz liquor. If some patrons want to go to the OOTP forum bar to drink xyz liquor than they will, and they may discuss it before leaving the mogul forum bar.

over at the ootp forum bar there may be some patrons that are over there because of all the kiddies that got into the mogul forum bar.

    fun lil example.

I'm of the opinion where if Clay thought either aspect was seriously affecting his bottom line, that he wouldn't allow it to continue (locking/deleting threads talking about ootp or banning more of these ass clowns who are cancers to this forum)

fully agree....I know I wouldn't allow a cancer to deter my business if I could control it.

I am assuming it's not enough of an issue.

I think the talk of OOTP has persuaded me to try it, but in no way have I thought "Well, I'm never going to buy Mogul again if it's good." I'll still probably play both.

Yeah we gotta stop talking about ootp and comparing it to mogul and stuff like that, causing people to want to check the game out.

Why? People can try whatever they want. It's not like we're advertising it. Just discussing it. Like discussing Wendy's fries inside of a Mcdonalds.

You guys can do what ever you want, I'm not trying to force you, but i would think that not talking about it would prevent people from switching over to ootp.
