I know just saw it on espn.
Doh!
As an Eagles fan there is only one positive to this.
All the idiot McNabb hater who got their wish will have to face the reality of how bad we're going to be with no McNabb
As an Eagle fan who wanted to see McNabb moved, I kind of hate this. Why in the division?? Don't need the drama...and McNabb instantly makes the skins much better. What already was a tough division suddenly got tougher, and it was our doing!?!?!?![]()
Granted, it was only a few games, but I liked what I saw from Kolb. He showed the ability to make the throws necessary in your pass-happy offense. Obviously, the jury is out on his ability to bring the intangibles to the table like McNabb was able to, but if I were an Eagles fan I wouldn't mind seeing McNabb traded. I would be far more pissed about the Sheldon Brown trade
it had to happen. no way the Eagles would have signed him to a long term deal after the season so he'd walk for nothing, and then we'd have to be in a position to offer big dollars to keep Kolb who's also in a contract year, without truly knowing if he could make it or not as the #1.
Now they have a chance to really look at Kolb. They add a 2nd in a very deep draft. I like what i've seen in Kolb and he gets to grow with a very very young nucleus of star skill position talent as well as a young upcoming O-Line. Its the perfect scenario for him to win....now we'll see if he's got the goods.
I wanna see vick play.
well the big loser is the Raiders, who now will wind up starting JaMarcus "Chocolate Pudding' Russell
this is just nuts to me. In a division in which the WC is already tough to come by because they beat each other up so much....trading McNabb to the one weak team in the division is really crazy. You mean there was nothing comparable out there outside of the division? I find that hard to believe. With the speed Washington has on the offense, a gunslinger like McNabb makes them a playoff contender immediately.
