lol, everyone loves Betancourt batting cleanup for the phillies

chances Dayton Moore reads this, and decides to bat Betancourt cleanup this season? I'm saying 35%

He's a lot closer to 500 runners on
Ah! BBR actually lists runners on - excellent, i was wondering where you collected that.

darn, 14% x 500 runners is only 70 RBIs. kind of kills the fun of the Betancourt play.

nice, thanks. The Bonds vs Sierra is a much clearer example.

Pretty sure I am scrapping this, others have done it better and more knowledgeably.

Ryan Howard is also a pretty tough example to take on. Dude scores 21% of runners, and hits 50 homers? Holy crap. Even his avg isnt as bad as I thought. Walks, too - thought he had a pretty abd eye with the Ks, but got over 100 walks a few times.

Yea I didnt like howard for a year or 2 until I saw those #'s. I HATE K's

    HATE HATE HATE HATE K's.
I have always been in the opinion of at least pop it up, pop foul, ground out (tho increase in Dbl plays) bunt... ANYTHING but K. Only good thing about K's is you guarentte the pitcher throws 3 pitches... if every player saw 3 pitches and K'd you would STILL make the pitcher throw 81 pitches, there are going to be walks and hits and such...
Unless you are facing a guy Like Schilling, Maddux, Wells, Buehrle, or even Mariano, DONT SWING at the 1st pitch unless its the one you want. With all the pitchcount worries... make the pitcher work...
