I guess you can praise him. I mean, it wasn't bad but to say it was really good is a stretch. They did what they could which wasn't much, but their 2010 team will be worse than last year.
Porcello should be better, although I doubt he's THAT much better, but what does that have to do with the off-season? I mean, the team looks like this.
Polanco > Sizemore
Granderson > A. Jackson
E. Jackson > Scherzer
Raburn > Damon
Scherzer is better than E. Jackson, but there are still question marks about starting. I think Sizemore will be good, but to say he's going to start hitting out of the gate would be like me saying Adam Moore is going to hit .800 in his first year. Granderson to Austin Jackson is probably a 2-3 win loss and Raburn and Damon are maybe a 1 win difference.
Like I said, he did what he could this off-season, but it wasn't great.
