    Deleting Teams

If I wanted to start a custom league with 16 teams, how would I do that and still get all the players from that year?

I wanted to start a league with players from 1990 using a fantasy draft, so I went to league editor and when I delete a team it takes away all the players also. How would I do this?

Jazz. I take it that you want to change all 16 teams? If this is so, simply change the name of the team in the league editor to the one you want...for example if you wanted to change Arizona Cardinals into say, Allstate Athletic,in the "Home" dialogue box (2nd one down in LH row) erase "Arizona" and type in "Allstate", in the next box down erase "Cardinals" and type "Athletic" remember to hit the "refresh" button to effect these changes, and Bob's yer uncle. The team's name has changed but all its original players are intact.

If, on the other hand you want to retain the teams, but change the players in each, when starting a new game, look to the "Advanced" menu which appears in the LH column as soon as your new game comes on screen, and tick the "shuffle players" box...according to the "Help" text, both the teams and the players will remain, but the players will all be in different teams.

    Hope this helps.

    Re: Deleting Teams

That is not really what I want to do...I want a league with 16 teams only starting in 1990 and do a fantasy draft.

So I start a league in 1990 and go to League Editor and rename the teams I want, but when I delete the teams I do not want to get down to 16 teams it erases those players from the draft pool.

Is there a way around this and keep those players and still delete the teams to get me to 16?

only thing you can do I believe is sign free agents to those teams then release the players, once a team is all turned over then you can delete the team.

Or force trade 'em off to the teams that you want to remain
