Can we have Dan Haren back?

Such a bright and young career, and then a rot cuff

    Re: Mulder Retires

Because I was bored, heres how this trade effected the future of the A's and other teams.

    Oakland A's trade
    P Mark Mulder

    to St. Louis for
    P Dan Haren
P Kiko Calero (DFA and released in 2008)
1B Daric Barton (still with Oakland)
    ----------------------------------
    Oakland trades
    P Dan Haren
    P Connor Robertson

    to Arizona for
    P Brett Anderson
P Dana Eveland (currently in Minors with Sacramento)
IF Chris Carter (hit 28 HR combined in AA-AAA ball in 2009)
OF Aaron Cunningham (.302 AVG .372 OBP in AAA ball in 2009)
    P Greg Smith
    OF Carlos Gonzalez
    ---------------------------------------------
    Oakland Trades
    P Greg Smith
    OF Carlos Gonzalez
    P Huston Street

    to Colorado for
    OF Matt Holliday
    --------------------------------------------
    Oakland Trades
    Matt Holliday

    to St. Louis Cardinals
    1B/3B/DH Brett Wallace (20 HR .822 OPS for 2 AA-AAA Clubs in 2009)
    P Clayton Mortensen
    OF/1B Shane Peterson (.768 OPS for 3 A-AA Clubs in 2009)
    ---------------------------------------------
    Oakland Trades
    1B/3B/DH Brett Wallace

    to Toronto
OF Micheal Taylor (.944 OPS 2 AA-AAA Teams in 2009)
    --------------------------------------------
    Oakland Trades
    OF Aaron Cunningham
    OF Scott Hairston

    to San Diego
    3B Kevin Kouzmanoff
    IF Eric Sogard

Seems like if it wasn't for this Mulder trade Oakland would be in a world of hurt.

    Re: Mulder Retires

so you trade Mulder and Robertson

    and you net:

    Michael Taylor
    Shane Peterson
    Clayton Mortensen
    Chris Carter
    Aaron Cunningham
    and
    Daric Barton

Or that is how I see it.

Minus the salary spent, and plus the years of service that you got from other ball players.

    6 for 2, not bad....considering mulder didn't pan out.

Perhaps, though Huddy was always my favorite.

Then let's remove Cunningham and put in Kouz...and anything else that was added or moved.

Either way, this looks like a great deal for Beane over time.
