    1993 Amateur Draft

Round 1: 3B Alex Rodriguez (73/94) He was number one on our draft board and we were very shocked when he fell to us at pick #12. He will be converted to 3B to play alongside Derek Jeter for years to come.

Round 2: RF J.D. Drew (61/88) Hopefully he will develop into a great RF for us a couple years down the line.

    New York Times

Yankees agree to sign SP Morris

The New York Yankees and 38 year old SP Jack Morris (86) have agreed on a 2 year deal worth 1.51M. He will be inserted in the rotation. Morris, in Toronto last season, went 12-7 with a 4.04 ERA, 113K, and 160.1 IP. He has played eighteen seasons in the MLB 3 different teams: Detroit Tigers, Minnesota Twins, and Toronto. Yankees agree to sign Vizquel

The Yankees agreed to sign 26 year old Omar Vizquel to a 3 year contract worth 1.76M. Vizquel will be converted over to 2B during Spring Training. Last season with Seattle he batted .254 with 2 HR, 45 RBI, and 30 SB. He will be the new leadoff hitter.

It has been widely reported that he will be the last free agent the Yankees will sign and they still are 11.1M under the budget. Maybe George Steinbrenner and their GM have something different in mind.

Does this trade seem fair? Or should i re-do it?
