i don't think bruce & votto will ever be that amazing.

    Bonds/Kent
    Ruth/Gehrig

probably the best 2, without looking at those exact seasons.

I think Ruth/Gehrig is inarguably the best ever.

As for today, Pujols/Holliday, I guess, but that's mostly because of how awesome Pujols is.

    that's what I think.

and I think A-Rod and Tex is probably about as great as you can ask for as well.

Mauer and Morneau is deadly. You can't even neutralize them with LHP.

    1. MM
    2. TEX/Arod (switch hitter and a righty, two clutch, versatile cornerstone hitters)
    3. Pujols/Holliday (Pujols/anyone is up here)
    4. Utley/Howard (small park adds some)
    5. Braun/Fielder (have yet to accomplish what the above guys have)

Have to agree with OYF, But I have to give a shout out to Griffey & Martinez, because that was a beautiful thing (especially with Buhner on deck).

Currently, I'll take Pujols & Holliday (or whoever, Pujols is amazing).

If Mauer can repeat, he and Morneau are down right amazing.

    similar discussion.

    greatest 1, 2 punch in a rotation?

    Johnson and Schilling were beastly
    Same with Drysdale and Koufax
    Gibson and Carlton
Baltimore and Minnesota have had some elite top of the rotation type pitchers.

    current day, I like
    Wainwright and Carpenter
    Linecum and Cain
    Halladay and Happs, or whoever
    Lackey and Beckett
    Sabathia and Burnett

there are several good one's....name your favorites

    Lincecum/Cain
    Wainwright/Carpenter
    Felix/Lee

If you take health/league in to consideration then I'd bump Felix/Lee up past Wainwright/Carpenter.

All-time, Johnson/Schilling off the top of my head.

    Currently, I'll take Felix/Lee.
