So true. I've always wondered how very good college teams would do in the NFL.

which is always such silly thing ... even the worst pro team would beat the best college team by two TDs.

The top College teams have two or three guys that will be NFL starters, and maybe 7-8 guys that will play there... NFL teams a literally filled will NFL players ....

I've never thought good college teams would do well in the NFL, but I'd have to imagine they'd still outplay the winless Detroit Lions. Although, maybe I'm crazy.

The best college football team would get beat by the very worst pro team by 4 TDs easy. It wouldnt' be competitive. Even the best college team has people that will be working at car washes making up a significant part of their starting lineup.

    It wouldn't be close.
My runs created per 27 posts (RC/27p) was 12.4 last year. I should've been MVP.

I think the top SEC teams would fair the greatest chance to beat an NFL team with their athletic defenses. The chance though is still about Nil.

Apparently Carrol is going to Sea. I wonder how much power he will have? I find it odd that they would hire a coach before a GM.
Labor is prior to, and independent of, capital. Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if labor had not first existed. Labor is the superior of capital, and deserves much the higher consideration.

I actually broke it down once while watching the 08 Lions and honestly, I think that year's Florida team could've beat them in one game. I mean, everyone says that a college team can't beat an NFL team, but the 08 Lions couldn't beat an NFL team either.

If you looked at the Lions starting roster that year, just about everyone was a guy who couldn't play for any other NFL team. Yeah, there are players in the 08 UF starting lineup that wouldn't play in the NFL, but there were even more players on the 08 Lions who SHOULDNT start in the NFL.

And finally, the coaching advantage would be enormous. I don't know if you guys really appreciate how pathetic the 08 Lions were in every aspect of football.

It would definitely depend on how the game was played...is it some exhibition game? is there money involved?
Because even the pathetic Lions of 08, would hopefully play with some pride (also guys Calvin Johnson could play on other teams)

I think my brother and I concluded that the only members of the 08 Lions that would've started on the 08 Gators were Calvin Johnson, Leigh Bodden, and Jason Hanson.

From what I've heard he's going to be the GM too. I thought he was going to be named Head Coach and Team President (which is synonymous with GM).

Nope, he's just going to be HC who also gets to decide to makes the 53 man roster and how much playing time they get. Nothing more than opinions and suggestions on the draft, free agents and trades.

I'm not wrong. Both the LA Times and Danny O'Neil have said so.
