Without looking at any numbers at all, Damon appears to be a questionable choice.
My runs created per 27 posts (RC/27p) was 12.4 last year. I should've been MVP.

Without looking at specific numbers or bringing anyone else in to the discussion I think Beltran should move up past Abreu; and Jones should move up past both Abreu and Hunter. Jones was amazing until 2007.

He didn't make the list. It's from Prime 9 on MLB Network.

Prime Nine made this list, just like all the others I have posted.

Re: Top 9 Outfielders of the Decade

    Top 10 by WAR:

    1. Bonds 64.4
    2. Ichiro 50.7
    3. Beltran 50.1
    4. Edmonds 46.3
    5. Guerrero 45.2
    6. Abreu 44.7
    7. Berkman 44.6
    8. Ramirez 42.2
    9. Jones 41.1
    10. Drew 41.0

Damon's actually a 37.1 by my count HGM. You may have added in his 1999 season. The difference in some of our counts is because I added the 10 seasons together and you probably took the player's total and subtracted seasons outside the 2000-2009 range.

F**k, Torii Hunter is sooo overrated. Larry Walker played 6 years with 24.8 WAR this decade. Mr. Million Dollar Smile played the whole decade and tallied 24.5 WAR. Grady Sizemore, 5 full years plus a partial: 28.7 WAR. Even Vernon f**cking Wells managed to come up with 22.6 WAR. Vernon Wells! Matt Holliday: 21.9 WAR. Sammy Sosa: 27.0 WAR. Is Torii gonna ride the million dollar smile and wave of popularity right into Cooperstown? Anything is possible with these @#$^%*& writers.

    I don't know how I overlooked Edmonds....and I don't know what I did with Johnny Damon, I guess I did include his 1999 *shrug*.

    Guilty.

How'd you come up with the top 10? It's a hassle that baseballprojection.com isn't sortable. Have you donated in order to download the csv files? I'm thinking of doing that myself.

Went to Baseball Prospectus, took top 10 OF VORP each year and confined it to guys on those lists that it made sense to bother looking up on CHONE's site. I.e. not: Darin Erstad, Richard Hidalgo, Cliff Floyd, Aubrey Huff, Sarge Jr., Aaron Rowand, The Uptons, IF who happened to be listed as in the OF one year that they hit really well in (Pujols, C. Jones, Miggy Cabrera etc). It would be superawesomefantastico if CHONE's site were sortable, not to mention time saving.

That's why I'm really considering donating. $25 to get both the pitching and hitting csv files...
