Keep in mind though this is basically playing a Double-A league champion (usually), not exactly the best talent in the world. There's little incentive to do this.

I assume they would have to pay them to get them to play. Tough to risk your body after 6 months of playing a sport for free.

Only if it is about 3 weeks after the regular world series and it is treated like an all star game (not really caring just for fun)

I love the idea fili the more I think about it, and the way it would work.

Players would be tired, sure, but it's something to look forward to, fans would love it, and if we kept it organized, best of 7 or 5 or 9, play it in November, pay the players a percentage based on the revenue generated by it and give bonuses to the mvp's.

We would become more aware of the Japanese baseball life and maybe won't be so egocentrical with baseball.

I don't think it would be a failure if the Yankees lost to the Y. Giants, but some American fans might actually root for the Yankees if this happened.

I bet if they tried this, within five years it would be highly sought after, and we would start paying more attention to Japanese baseball.
