But, if my team isn't playing, then I prefer a pitcher's duel. Nothing like seeing pro hitters look like 5 year olds. When a pitcher is in a groove, there is nothing more exhilarating than being at the game, standing up and cheering at every 0-2 pitch.

I like slugfests if my team is on the winning end, but I always love and appreciate a pitchers duel no matter what. Good example.

If the starters are no-namers or not future talents then a slugfest can be enjoyable. To me though there is nothing better than watching a hitter slightly flinch at a called third strike. Pedro's change-up in the late 90's and early 2000's was almost awe-inspiring.

Pitchers duel! When a game ends 1-0 because of one tiny mistake (aka the Twins-White Sox tiebreaker in 2008) THAT'S awesome
