    Yes. It'd increase the "haves" of the owners and the "have nots" of the players.

    That would depend on how the cap was structured. A cap like the NHL, which defines a share of league revenues that are allocated to player salaries may not have this effect - while still improving competitive balance.

    I thought the thread meant wining players and if they wine or act out they lose money

    A salary cap would suppress the salaries of the players and increase the wealth of the owners. Wasn't meant to imply that any athlete is a "has not." I just used the same phrases he did.
