Hope you are enjoying all the discussions

    9. 1993 Mike Piazza
    8. 1984 Dwight Gooden
    7. 1936 Joe DiMaggio
    6. 2001 Ichiro Suzuki (MVP)
    5. 1975 Fred Lynn (MVP)
    4. 1981 Fernando Valenzulea
    3. 2001 Albert Pujols
    2. 1939 Ted Williams
    1. 1947 Jackie Robinson

They say Robinson because he "had the greatest impact"

Jackie had to go through a lot in 1947 as well outside of the game and he HAD to perform or it could have set the game back another decade so I think with all of those factors, I would put him #1.

Statistically, of course not. It's obviously 2003 Nick Punto.

Interesting that the top offensive performance (OPS wise) by a rookie...doesn't make the list at all.

    Interesting...

Well Prime Nine doesn't always do as well on these lists as they should.

I agree with Jackie Robinson as #1. Don't really care about the rest though.

Mitchell Page actually had a hell of a year in 77, and was outvoted by Murray unfairly.

Page's 77 was a great year, and should be somewhere on the list.

Well his OPS+ of 48 in 2003 his first year of over 10 games should garner mention.

But I was referring to Johnny Mize.

I have seen a few Punto references by you, and before the mental muzzle could catch it I typed the joke up.

These two lists are extremely conflicting. I am going with Pujols slightly over Mize on this.
