    Cabrera is now blocked by Granderson. It makes no sense to keep Cabrera who can be an everyday player elsewhere if you aren't going to play him everyday. The market, in this case the Braves had a need, the Yankees needed a stronger, deeper rotation, and they got it by unloading an extra outfielder.

    This trade makes total sense for New York....not as much, but still makes sense for Atlanta.

    4th best OF behind Damon, Swisher and Gardner. Gardner's defense puts him ahead of Melky, who is still searching for his first 100 OPS+ season. You might be the only Yankee fan upset with this deal, unless of course you're funnin' us.
