Im not trying to use the time machine argument. Truth is in todays NFL there are running backs on every team that can break a big one. Granted you have elite RB's, but the difference between the great ones and the good ones in the NFL is thin. Compared to back then, the great ones had a huge margin over the what was considered good.
Take Paul Hornung for instance, not only was he a top running back, he threw and kicked. He was an all around star back in the day. It was him Jim Brown and Gale Sayers and nobody else as far as running back goes.
