    If one of your primary players dies in the middle of the season and you still win the division going away, you should win a manager of the year award.

    Both were pretty solid choices. I don't think Tracy is a good manager, but if you show up and take a floundering team to the postseason, that's worthy of respect.

    4 years guiding teams to over 95 wins.
    .556 overall winning percentage.
    I would say he is a fairly good manager in the American League.
    But maybe you have a different idea of what a good manager is.
