And guess what? That is a "respectable" adult too

Just don't take this place so seriously. You don't want it to become so uptight that it is droning and boring.

I am not trying to make anything uptight. Just have one name and post under it, that would seem more respectable in my eyes.

I guess I just don't understand how it is amusing to be something other than yourself. I like to joke about a lot of things, but when it is constant clutter or random fake people who you have no clue who you are speaking to or hearing from, it's kind of tough to take them as funny. I'd rather people just be who they are, stick with their name we know them from, and I would have much more respect for their comedy.
I guess it is kind of like that Carrot Top guy, he uses props for comedy, that may be funny to some, but it isn't really the guy being funny, he uses other things to make himself funny, where as you have a guy like Chapelle or Seinfeld can use their own self and mind to be funny.
But it is all whatever floats your boat, obviously.

There's a significant difference between being uptight/boring and not being immature, nonsensical, annoying and ridiculous. When legitimate threads are being closed because there's a select few people that have to jump in with accusations of alts whenever a person posts anywhere, regardless of the thread's subject matter, there's a problem.

I only did that to Josh once or twice, and I made it BLATANTLY obvious I was not actualy being serious (You may have noticed how much I swear at him and say insanely ridiculous things). I just am teasing him because of how he reacts. Besides, he isn't even around anymore, same with NWU (So I dont get why people are saying they reported the threads)

i dunno, i do, and so do many others. the difference is adding something constructive. Jokes are fine, but you don't need to use an alt to be funny.

I agree people can take it too seriously, but i want the childish behavior to go elsewhere, that's all. and that is pretty childish.....all of us are guilty of saying something childish, or doing something childish on here. but limiting it sure would be nice.

that's all, makes the forum easier to read

To me, it's kind of like stupid humor that you see in a bad movie where they are trying to be stupid funny.

it's annoying, undermines you, and for a place that has overall pretty intelligent posters, i think we can all come to the consensus that it's just annoying, not funny.

well the two threads that were closed when hgm started this thread, were closed after josh/nwu/whoever started posting in them.
