Closing of threads

The "3.1" what are you thinking thread and the Atlanta/Detroit thread in Sports Talk both got closed despite nothing bad happening in them as far as I can tell.

As was discussed in a new what are you thinking, it apparently is because nwuhockey or whatever reporting the thread. I thought that there was a new rule stating that a reporter of a thread must provide a detailed explanation for why it's being reported, and that a junk explanation wouldn't result in any action. What possible explanation could be given that would require those threads being CLOSED? Not even just a few posts being deleted, but flat out closed.

I don't get it.

Frankly, I think everyone that pops in accusing nwuhockey/josh/whatever of being alts every time they post needs to shut the hell up and cut it out, and I also think that he shouldn't be reporting threads for it, and that if he does, they shouldn't be closed unless they actually have devolved into nonsense.

I honestly believe Clay and Dee just don't want to have to be "parents" on the forum as well. I don't imagine they spend much time here, and when people report, they just do whatever they think is best. Which may be to simply close them. It makes sense, but obviously, yes, we would rather have it not happen. I am still in vote for some mods with limited powers. That way the members of this forum would be happier, and Clay/Dee wouldn't have to worry about policing anything

I really cannot grasp why things are the way they are in here, it just seems more chaotic going about things this way when there is an easier alternative to stop the bullcrap that goes on here.

I think i have reported 3 threads in what... 2-3 years. come on guys... at some point Clay and Dee are just going to close down this part of teh forum and leave only the BM stuff open

for what it's worth, the only threads i have ever reported is whenever i see spam. which is usually at like 5 in the morning for some reason.

I have never reported any other threads.

I really could care less if someone is being a jackass on these forums, If I don't like it I stay away from it, simple. There is one thread in "Ejections" that I can't stand, I don't ***** about it and just don't click on it.

Who gives a crap if people mock someone who deserves it, its fun. Hell I've deserved it before. Clay should just let Houston or Jeffy mod the site, or another vet of the site. Really is it that big of a deal? Game web sites let users mod all the time who have much less of a relationship then most of you guys do with Clay.

If something reflects poorly on the game delete it, if not who freaking cares. Its all nonsense and amounts to nothing.

Throw someone the mod seat who is active and you like and that's the end of it.
