Greinke has also been known to mix in an eephus pitch on very rare occasion. I don't recall him throwing one this year, but in the past I remember one that hit 53 mph..and there is also the story of him telling a teammate in the dugout that he was going to throw a 50 mph pitch, then going out and doing it.

Could be some exaggeration to this, I don't know.
My runs created per 27 posts (RC/27p) was 12.4 last year. I should've been MVP.

Thanks for the clarification HGM, and sorry Metsguy. I agree on the 20 game winner thing HGM and as you said somewhere that demonstrates the absolute idiocy of these moro(a)ns. It's like the magical 20 win mark allows them to be lazy and if nobody reaches it, they have to do some actual digging and look at something other than wins.

Re: Greinke's velocity, wow the gap is larger than I thought. Hitters must absolutely hate facing this guy and I think he's only going to get better. Hopefully, he can enjoy the game now that he's doing better with the anxiety thing, and in turn we can all enjoy watching him.

I don't see too many people refer to baseball-intellect.com around here but I think it's a pretty cool site.

If for nothing else than the videos.

That's a pretty awesome site. I like how they have all the slow motion diagrams for Greinke. The second one on the page makes me wish I could get a slider to break like that at the last second. What an amazing pitch a slider is.

Outstanding fili. One question for everyone in general. Why the f**k did Alex Eisenberg (author of Greinke scouting article) use 2009 Alex Rios as an example of a hitter being "in a tizzy trying to make contact against Zack Greinke"? Alex Rios was/is in a permanent state of "tizziness" when it comes to trying to make contact. It doesn't take a world-class pitcher to baffle and befuddle him. He can do it all on his own. Maybe Dayton Moore will make a trade for his sorry, toolsy ass. Ugh. Thank God for the White Sox waiver claim. That boy needs Ozzie Guillen to ride his ass next spring, but I somehow doubt it will help. What a waste.

Haha, because he just looks more silly versus Greinke than anyone.
