The things that I thought was interesting about Agassi, was how he threw matches supposedly because he mentally had so many issues, he just didn't want to play the next day, so he went ahead and tanked matches.

That was what I was interested in also. I don't know much about the structure of tennis. Was he required to participate because of his ranking? If not, why not just stay home. It kind of bothers me that an athlete would show up and then lose on purpose. That doesn't do much for the integrity of the sport, in my book. When he said that the struggles were what makes tennis great in his interview he obviously has a different perspective. Oh well.

Yeah, I am pretty sure he was required since he was a top ranking player.

kind of sickens me how some claim to want pro athletes to be upfront and honest..tell all...and then one does and he gets the criticism Agassi has gotten IRL and here in this thread even. It is interesting, very much so...not just the drugs but the upbringing...his feelings towards tennis, and his career in general.

The funny thing about Agassi, is how much did people really know about him? He was known to be a great player but then when he comes out with this, you just sit back and say Wow!
