    not happening.
Please, highly doubtful. I don't think it will even be close. Probably going to be a different market now than back then.

Boras does this every year. He knows full well he's not getting that much money.

I think one of the few contracts where he went well beyond, was A-Rods extension with the Yankees. I believe he got it around what he wanted.

I can see Bengie signing with the Mets actually.

I honestly think the Cardinals are going to end up with Holliday, but it won't happen until like late Jan, early Feb.

I think it will happen, maybe i am just too much of an optimist.

I think ownership will actually pay to keep him around....6/120.

    What a lineup moving forward:

    C-Molina/Pagnozzi/?
    1B-Pujols
    2B-Schumaker/Lugo
    3B-Freese/Mather/low level outside free agent
    SS-Ryan/Lugo
LF-Holliday. if not holliday, it will be someone like Nady or someone internal, such as Allen Craig
    CF-Rasmus
    RF-Ludwick

I don't see DeRosa or Ankiel coming back, especially if they think they can keep Holliday.

    Rotation
    1. Carp
    2. Waino
    3. Lohse
    4. Smoltz
    5. Garcia/Boggs

If you keep Holliday, Pinero is gone, and the only player you bring back is Smoltz...which sucks, bc if we have any injuries to carp or waino, we are in some serious trouble.

I could see a non compensatory free agent signing...

Reading on MLB TR that Tigers might shop Jackson. Can Hav or another tigers fan gimme me an idea of what you feel his value would be since I have never seen him pitch.

    Thanks

I feel he is probably a bit highly stocked right now....which is likely why the Tigers are willing to listen to offers. Will probably have a decent career, but they probably think that 09 was a career year. So they will just want to know what people are willing to offer. Anything that blows them away, then they would consider it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't he pretty highly touted when he was younger in the Dodgers org?

I was just saying that maybe it just took him a little longer to get to that point, so trading him may not be an ideal plan for the motor city kitties

They already have Justin Verlander who they'd rather keep around (2011 FA) and his Post All-Star numbers were pretty scary. I would sell high on Jackson if I were them.
