Dave Cameron says he's hearing it's Zach Stewart that's coming back, which would be awesome. As long as it's not Arencibia I'll be happy. Although, picking up Mark Lowe v2.0 (Brandon League) makes me wonder if there's another deal being worked out that will send Lowe out of Seattle.

god i hope he self-destructs there and puts up 2004 numbers.

If he has a solid season this all but locks up the AL East for the stankees again

Man, Tigers fans thought the Granderson deal didn't get enough from the Yankees.

    Javy Vazquez for MELKY CABRERA?!

Dude, Frank, do you even WANT to compete?

I suppose they're probably more keen on Arodys Vizcaino than I am, but I would think for a pitcher of his caliber, you'd get more major league talent than a cheap average corner OF. Really just makes the Braves look like they have absolutely no money to spend.

Has Javier Vasquez set a record for most trades in the post-season? It's like he's been dealt every other winter.

and yet he's never split a season between two clubs...his stats are crisp each year. nice. Clearly the GMs have baseball-reference clarity in mind.

I'm not sure what thread to put this in and it isn't worthy of it's own, but here you go.

    Philadelphia is one lucky town.

It's a rare display of public gratitude from a superstar athlete but it's no surprise coming from former Blue Jays ace Roy Halladay.

The Cy Young Award-winning pitcher has taken out a full-page ad in today's Toronto Sun in which he thanks his former team and the fans here.

"My wife Brandy, sons Braden and Ryan and I would like to express our deepest gratitude to the Toronto Blue Jays organization, its incredible fans, and the City of Toronto," Halladay says in the ad.

In a related story, Philadelphia fans have announced that, while they acknowledge the magnanimity of Halladay and appreciate it, they will still throw batteries at him if he does not pitch well.

Also, without Cabrera to man left, the Yankees just signed Jason Bay and Matt Holliday to platoon there.

Dude guys, it's ok I talked to some Yankee fans and they told me Melky is better then Javier.

Since he's clutch and can play every day that makes him a solid, caliber player.

So no worries. Braves totally won this deal.
