    Trade Approval Thread

A thread where we can post trades and ask people to vote on fairness and if they could happen IRL:

    You post the details of your trade;

    i.e.
    Chris Davis 67/90 LF
    and
    John Shnuck 82/82 SP

    for
    Frank Taylor 75/86 RP
    Oscar Gown 70/82 C
    and
    Tyler Van Verk 56/69 SS

and then list payroll amounts, team needs etc and seek approval.

This thread is in the intention of allowing people to keep their own dynasties more fair.

you can decide what approval you will need from members to execute your trade, i.e 2/3 etc.

and people just say, approve, deny, or what it would take to make work.

    Re: Trade Approval Thread

I guess I'll go ahead and post the first trade. I'm Arizona in this trade.

To Toronto (47-30) First Place 4.5 Game Lead
Tim Raines(LF) - Becomes their starter over Jose Cruz
Bill Spiers(3B) - Becomes their starter over Ed Sprague
Junior Spivey(2B) - Fourth on the depth charts, but tied for highest peak in the system with Orlando Hudson

    Payroll Info for Toronto
    Budget - $36,583,177
Payroll After Taking Salaries - $36,787,100

To Arizona Diamondbacks (28-49) Fifth Place - 18.5 Games Back
    Gabe Gross(RF)
    Lee Gronkiewicz(RP)

Other Notable OF in Toronto's System
    Shawn Green(RF), 25 Y/o, 90/94 - Current MLB Starter
    Randy Winn(CF), 24 Y/o, 76/84 - AA
    Ryan Freel(CF), 22 Y/o, 63/77 - A
    Jayson Werth(RF), 19 Y/o, 62/85 - R
    John-Ford Griffin(RF), 18 Y/o, 59/80 - R
    Vernon Wells(CF), 19 Y/o, 67/87 - R

Other Notable RP in Toronto's System
    Carlos Amanzar(RP), 24 Y/o, 64/75 - A
    Darwin Cubillian(RP), 25 Y/o, 50/78 - A
    Brian Bowles(RP), 21 Y/o, 64/83 - A
    Vinnie Chulk(RP), 19 Y/o, 62/78 - R
    Brandon Lyon(RP), 18 Y/o, 61/82 - R
    Pasqual Coco(RP), 20 Y/o, 59/81 - R
    Justin Miller(RP), 20 Y/o, 58/83 - R
Probably more, but I think you get the picture.

Why I think this trade works - Toronto has a real need for both a 3B and LF while they make a run for the playoffs; not to mention they have an overload at RF in the minors. Tim Raines becomes the new LF & lead off hitter for them and could be a great spark for their lineup. He also has a contract that only lasts through the year, so if they decide they want to promote one of their many OF prospects next year, they won't have to keep him on the books if they don't want. Spiers may not be the best 3B and they could certainly do better, but he's definitely an upgrade over who they had and is having a good year. Not to mention they get a new 2B who instantly becomes their best 2B prospect, along with Orlando Hudson, that is. Any thoughts?

    Re: Trade Approval Thread

Just like in the other trade thread

    http://forum.sportsmogul.com/showthread.php?t=190994

I think it's best to post the .mog if possible. There's always more information that can be pulled from there.

I'd be inclined to say it is a reasonable trade. Though, I don't think that Toronto is improving THAT much, and if I was them, I'd be looking for more of an upgrade at those two positions than those players give them, but they aren't giving up much. And Spivey looks like an ok prospect.

    Re: Trade Approval Thread

well you have the approval of 2/2. I agree, i think Toronto could do better, but it does help them some...which is usually good enough to assume the trade can be acceptable.

    Re: Trade Approval Thread

I decided to scrap the trade because I definitely think they could do better than Tim Raines. Looks like I'm stuck with him for the year

    Thanks for the input guys.

    Re: Trade Approval Thread

    I need trade approval:

If the trade doesn't get approval, than i need a counter offer to make it possible:

Logan Kensing and Ross Detwiler for Brent Lillibridge and their first round draft pick from Chicago

    for

Chicago is set at shortstop with Alexi Ramirez and Gordon Beckham. Lillibridge is third in depth chart at the team's strongest position.
And their relief crew is pretty weak.

Detwiller is a better prospect than he is shown to be.

Were I the White Sox (or any) GM I would never, ever, ever give up a draft pick.

Among other things, it's illegal in 'real' baseball. It could also allow a human player to game the system.

No counteroffer on those terms. If you want just Lillibridge, feel free to post an offer that's fair for that.

ok, so no draft pick in this trade, although i allowed draft pick trading in this dynasty.

What would be an acceptable offer for Lillibridge?

Ok, how about something like Josh Willingham, a 63/63 and $1,500,000 to complete the deal? including the draft pick.

    Which is number 22 overall.
