    New To The Game

I just discovered Sports Mogul games and downloaded both Baseball Mogul 2007 and Football Mogul 2010.

I'd be interested in hearing from the veterans of these games as to the best plan to getting started with the game.

Just pick your favorite team, and get to playing, learn the features of each game.

personally, i am not as impressed with football mogul, and that is a fairly older version of baseball mogul. the newest version of baseball mogul is well worth it, and a very fun game.

but just find your favorite team, or favorite era and get to playing.

The Latest Baseball Mogul is worth it. It's easy to play and you could lose a lot of time playing it because of the addiction. Football mogul offers much less than baseball but is decent if you like drafting players and building a team. But the game play and scheules are weak for Football.

There is also a free online version of Baseball Mogul if you want to try it. Yes, it's free. http://www.baseball-manager-online.com

I know this isnt probably the best place to ask, but obviously we have some guys here who have both games. I am a UK based NFL fan and do enjoy Football Mogul. I have virtually NO knowledge of the baseball game, other than the absolute fundamentals, but its quite clear Baseball Mogul is considered a much better game.

As a complete beginner to baseball will I still be able to start a game and enjoy it (I am a big fan of "management" games, especially sport management)

    cheers

I would think baseball would be an extremely confusing game to try and manage if you've never even seen a game! You can follow games at www.mlb.com, pick a team (I can suggest the St. Louis Cardinals), go to their website, and follow a live game using GameDay. Perhaps as a child you played kickball or rounders, so the idea of scoring runs by advancing around the bases may not be totally alien.
