They are playing on the road against an SEC team.

Sure, I don't think Ole Miss is actually the 4th best team in the country, but doesn't take away from the strength of the SEC.
My runs created per 27 posts (RC/27p) was 12.4 last year. I should've been MVP.

Yeah but c'mon, Jevan Snead HAS to play better than that. This is the same SC defense that gave up 41 points to Joe Cox and UGA.

Sure, he has played awful this year. Ole Miss was ranked so high based on how they finished last season...they still could be pretty good, but yeah, not with that QB play.

I still think Ole Miss will make plenty of noise. Could certainly go 10-2 on the year and end in the top 15. Don't sleep on USC(e) either.

Cal comes to the Zoo Saturday.

Tough game. Oregon could pull it off.

Lot of pressure on Cal. With USC not playing so well this year, this is their year to make noise on the national level.

I don't know why USC was ranked so high. They lost so many starters.

I just hope Oregon pulls of the upset.

USC(w) could've been starting Clay Dreslough at QB with Dee at running back, they'd still be ranked top 10 preseason.

Probably because they always seem to replace the pieces that left. It's sort of like the Angels; no matter who leaves or who they replace them with, they always do well.

And they most likely will win the Pac 10 for the eighth straight year barring a Cal team that is looking mighty fine pulling it off or an Oregon team coming out of nowhere.

And don't sleep on those Huskies

I just think USC, along with Georgia, is consistently one of the most overrated teams in the country.

I mean just going down the line of top 5 preseason..

#1-Florida. Returned nearly EVERY starter from a year ago. Including a heisman trophy winner and all 11 on a very good defense.

#2-Texas. Returned Colt McCoy and several others from a team that arguably should have gone to the NC a year ago.

#3-Oklahoma. Returned the Heisman trophy winner and several others from a team that WENT to the NC last year and had Bradford not gotten injured would currently be #3.

#4-USC. Lost nearly every superstar from a season ago excluding Taylor Mays.

#5-Alabama. Lost John Parker Wilson and Glen Coffee yet kept one of the best wide outs in the game along with plenty of other superstars.

One of these things is not like the other...

USC is a strong team, Carroll consistently brings in the top recruits but just once, could they not be ranked preseason top 5?

It makes the Pac-10 look bad when they drop one early. And the Pac-10 does a good enough job in itself to look bad.

I'm a Bama fan, so I'm a bit biased, but my god their defense looks unreal good against an Arkansas offense that's averaged 44.5 points a game so far.....holy crap

The Washington-Stanford game is on FCS, which, of course, has to be unavailable unless you order it.
